A Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls was launched in Jagatsinghpur district as part of efforts to update voter records. Booth Level Officers were tasked with visiting households and assisting residents with the electoral-roll verification and registration process.
During the exercise, voters were provided an opportunity to verify the information recorded against their names. Eligible residents who were not already registered could also follow the prescribed process for inclusion, while errors or outdated information in existing records could be addressed.
District authorities appealed to political parties, elected representatives, voluntary organisations and residents to cooperate with officials conducting the revision. Public participation is important in ensuring that voter lists accurately represent eligible electors across the district.
