Job Purpose:
The Safety Officer will be responsible for supporting safe working conditions at industrial and construction sites in the Paradip area. The role focuses on workplace inspections, employee safety awareness, documentation and compliance with established safety procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct regular safety inspections across work areas and identify potential workplace hazards. Ensure employees and contractors follow required safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Conduct toolbox talks and basic safety-awareness sessions. Maintain records of inspections, incidents and corrective actions. Assist supervisors during emergency drills and incident investigations. Coordinate with site and operations teams to improve workplace safety practices.
Required Qualifications:
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline with an Industrial Safety qualification/certification preferred. Candidates should understand occupational safety practices, PPE requirements, hazard identification and emergency procedures. Good communication and documentation skills are required.
