Paradip Port Authority hosted the 41st All India Major Ports Kabaddi Tournament 2025–26 at the Biju Convention Centre in Paradip. Organised in association with the Major Ports Sports Control Board, the three-day tournament brought together seven teams representing major ports from different parts of India.
Teams representing Paradip, Chennai, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, New Mangalore, Deendayal and Jawaharlal Nehru port authorities competed in the tournament. The matches featured competitive raids and defensive performances while providing port employees with a national-level sporting platform.
Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority emerged as champion after the final, while Chennai Port Authority finished as runners-up. Paradip Port Authority and Mumbai Port Authority jointly secured the second runners-up position, giving the host team a place among the tournament’s leading performers.
The tournament concluded with a valedictory ceremony where trophies and medals were presented to the teams. Beyond competition, the event was designed to promote physical fitness, teamwork and camaraderie among employees of India’s major ports while strengthening Paradip’s role as a venue for major sporting events.
