Inter-Department and Corporate Cricket Tournaments Bring Teams Together in Paradip

Paradip Port Authority launched its 6th Inter-Department and 5th Corporate Cricket Tournaments at Gopabandhu Stadium on April 9. The competitions were organised by Gopabandhu Kreeda Sansad and featured evening matches played under floodlights, creating an energetic sporting atmosphere at the stadium.   The Inter-Department competition included teams from Administration, Vigilance, Finance, Engineering, Medical, Electrical & Mechanical, Traffic and Marine. This gave employees from different areas of Paradip Port Authority an opportunity to represent their departments and compete outside their regular professional environment.   The Corporate Tournament included organisations such as IOCL, IFFCO, Adani Wilmar, Indian Coast Guard, Paradip Police and Railways (Paradip), along with other stakeholders. Bringing these organisations together expanded the event beyond the port authority and created a broader sporting platform for the Paradip community.   The tournaments were organised not only for competition but also to encourage teamwork, fitness and interaction among employees and organisations connected with Paradip. Employees and spectators attended the floodlit matches, with the combined competitions eventually concluding through the championship and valedictory programme on April 19.
